Spencer's First Trip to Disneyland!

For Christmas, Chris surprised with a trip to Disneyland! We opened it on Christmas morning and left the next morning!
First day at Disneyland! And we had a blast!  We didn't stay at our normal hotel, but one with a shuttle.  It was nice to not have to walk as much, especially for the prego mom! We still walked 5 miles that day, but still had so much fun!
I finally got my Disneyland Pickle I have been craving the whole pregnancy! I ate one (or two) everyday! Pure happiness for me!
Matterhorn Monday! And Weston got picked for a photo shoot from one of the photographers! It was so much fun! The sun was shining and we had blue skies that whole time we were there.  The morning we left, it was raining, perfect timing!

By the end of the first day, my body was done.  I plopped myself in a wheelchair the next two days.  It ended up being beneficially for rides.  Plus, I had somewhere to sit while the boys rode all the big rides.  The crowds were crazy busy and Chris said, never again will we go around Christmas! But it was so much fun and so worth it!
We can't wait to take Spencer back when he is here! I sure hope he loves Disney as much as us!

21.5 Weeks

I had a checkup today with Mr Spencer, he is growing great! And so am I, haha!  Spencer gave us a great frontal face shot and he still loves his hands.  He is a very active boy and loves to move around.  It's still tiny movements, but it's enough to feel him all the time.  He loves to have dance parties until 2am.  Yup, he is like his momma, we are night owls. I was reminded today, that I am still a high risk pregnancy and I need to take it easy.  No heavy lifting and I need to limit my activity.

Spencer Gerard Remkes!
Due on April 27, 2017

Weston is so excited for a brother!

We asked everyone to come dressed in the color they thought the baby would be.  We had a lot of pink in the house! Except for Weston! He knew it! And he screamed it! He said, I was right the whole time!  We couldn't be more excited!

What do you think?

Signed, sealed and delivered! I have the results.  I drove them straight to my friend.  Dropped it off and left.  She sent me a text before I was out of her driveway, she opened it.  She knows.  We don't. Ugh.  Today is Tuesday.  We find out Sunday! What do you think? Pirate or Mermaid?  Weston is positive it's a pirate, Chris says Mermaid and me, I don't care! I'm having a freaking baby! Wahoo!!

It's a Remkes!

So here's the skinny.  On the 21st I went to our 4 week checkup, baby is doing great and growing right on schedule.  I have had normal weight gain (let's give that a few more months, free willy) and my doc tells me, I am normally 90% wrong when it comes to telling you the sex of the baby.  WHAT! Fine, we will wait.  But we don't want to wait.  So what do I do? I text our friend Brit; her mom works at labor and delivery at Ogden Regional and I want her to work her magic and find out what we are having!  So, we head up there, and guess what, we found out it's a Remkes.  The little turd would not let us have a good view.  And we went twice!  It was still really fun to be up there spending time with Brit and her mom Kathy.  We laughed and joked and watched the baby do some crazy things.  We got see it do some fetal breathing with it's lungs; Kathy said this is the earliest she has ever seen a baby do that.  It was way neat to see.  Baby even pounded on it's chest to show us that it was a Remkes and would not let us see anything else.  Did I mention I was on my hands and knees trying to get it to turn? And the next morning Chris was holding me on my head trying to get it to turn? No dice.  Like I said, we are having a Remkes!  Or a Heslop, however you want to look at it, this kid is as stubborn as it's parents and brother.

Our perinatologist appointment is next week though.  We will find the sex out then.  Chris will be out of town, so we will have to wait until the weekend when he is home find out what it is.  Gender reveal party anyone?

Blood Work

Over the last few months, I have had a ton of blood work done.  Lots of blood work for the fertility process to makes sure my levels stayed normal, due to a high amount of drugs and hormones being pumped into me.  Now, we are having blood work done for any defects that the baby could have.  No matter the results might be, we are 100% comfortable with the outcome.  We just want to be prepared this time if there is something.  After Weston was born, being unprepared sent us on a tailspin and if we can help it, we will.  So, I had the final part of my blood work done on Friday and got the phone call today.  The blood work has come back in the clear.  No signs of defects that we need to be concerned about.
